I LOVE My Little Pony - Friendship is Magic. Am I too old for it? Yes. Do I care? NOPE. It's such a cute show and Pinkie Pie and Fluttershy are my favorites.
Anyways, when I found out that China Glaze was going to release MLP polishes, I immediately wanted them all. However, I need to behave. I only work part time so I had to reign (haha) it in. So I ended up buying 4 (for now). So I will end up writing about the other 2 at some point.
I had to try the Pinkie Pie polish first because like I said, I adore her. It is a pretty pink polish. Looks like a strawberry milkshake. It is pretty sheer as most cremes can be. Also it floods the brush a bit so you have to be careful otherwise it will pool where you put the brush first (usually for me I put it in the middle of my nail). You can obviously use the brush to pull it to other parts of your nail but it is a little hard to work with. You do have to be careful of leveling especially when applying another coat. I am horrible at getting my polish even and since this is a typical light creme, it is very unforgiving with my failure. Still very pretty color so it's worth it.
I put on a coat of Hay Girl Hay and oh my goodness, does it make it shine! The shimmer in it is amazing and it is a topper I definitely recommend that you pick up. The shimmer is both silver and green looking. I am excited to see in swatches I found online that with darker photos, the green comes out more so it's definitely a versatile sort of topper!
Overall I am giving this polish a 6 out of 6 stars. Even though the creme is sort of a pain, it is worth it especially with the Hay Girl Hay on top. It's a lovely combo that I will wear again!!
