Back in high school, a dear friend of mine made up a holiday in which you wear purple and eat chocolate. It's called Un-Valentine's day. The reason for the name is obvious. I happened to be hanging out with her the day of this holiday (February 12th) and needed to do my nails so I decided to try out both my newest pink and purple polishes.
Liv (Zoya), which is a very unique purple (at least in my collection), went on nice and smooth. I did make a mistake in that I did not wear a top coat with it. I have worn cremes in the past with no top coat and it was fine but this one shows every scratch and ding on it. So beware!
For my accent nail, I used Eden (Zoya). The first coat is a little streaky so I did 2 coats. You do need to watch how you apply the 2nd coat because leveling is an issue. I decided to dab on some hearts to be festive so I used Love Your Life (Nicole by OPI) and boy, I forgot what a pain it is to even get the hearts out of the bottle. I tried to shake it, tip it, etc. Lol. Just a pain but worth it because the hearts are cute. The base of the glitter polish is a little goopy so I am glad I ended up doing the dabbing method.
For a little extra festiveness, I added 2 hearts, one on each hand, with my go to red polish, Challenge Red-Y (Nicole by OPI) and using a dotting tool.
Overall I am giving this polish a 3 out of 6 stars. I don't think the colors blended well together but it was still cute.
